Overview
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and architect Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for provisioning cloud infrastructure.
- Evaluate cloud application requirements and make architectural recommendations for implementation, deployment, and provisioning applications.
- Work closely with DevOps and Software Engineers in defining infrastructure delivery strategies, standards, processes, technologies, and tools.
- Work with IT to collaboratively implement IaC for a cost-effective and efficient production infrastructure.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Engineering, Computer Science degree or equivalent
- 4 years’ experience as an IT professional
- 3 years’ hands on experience working in Cloud technology with an emphasis on Infrastructure as Code
- 2 years’ experience with DevOps practices
- Experience with command line tools like Bash and PowerShell
- Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of cloud computing technology and infrastructure
- Strong communication skills and ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience working experience with Git
- Experience with building, deploying, and running containers locally and in the cloud
- Azure experience and working in the Azure Portal
- Background in software development
