Overview

The company is searching for a Solution Consultant. This position can be located anywhere in the US.

To create and sustain referenceable live customers based on project scope and the key metrics defined in the project charter, and to deliver the optimal expected customer outcomes.

Pay: $90,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze customer supply chain improvement, design, or re-design requirements and propose industry best practice solutions
  • Evaluate customer challenges dealing with a range of supply chain issues including forecasting (business process, analytics), S&OP, statistical safety stock (product/location stratification, ABC analysis, methods, calculations), inventory planning, DRP, and replenishment, in order to recommend a course of action for implementing initiatives based on their unique business environment
  • Recommend industry supply chain best practices
  • Ensure clear understanding of customer requirements and manage customer expectations
  • Guide customers to implement the company platform and automate their supply chain planning processes to best address the customer’s challenges and deliver optimal results
  • Leverage the company solution platform to transform the customers business and organization supply chain, solution and industry expertise
  • Provide customers with industry, process, application, and supply chain planning domain expertise
  • To learn, process, and focus on what delivers the best business value for a specific customer
  • Balance energy and enthusiasm with discipline and structure to make customers more successful
  • Works primarily as a team member but also alone on some projects with new clients
  • Guides customers in their solution design and configuration, working through a logical progression to prepare the software solution and the user community for a production deployment
  • Prepares training materials and exercise/practice examples for use in the training sessions
  • Guides the client in preparation of their Application Document manual which will include decisions made by the client, the rationale for their decisions, “decision papers” needed to explain how a decision was reached, user procedures, testing outlines and other documentation as needed
  • Develops implementation project plans and timelines along with a scope document that will serve as the roadmap for the client implementation
  • Provides event reports after each client visit which highlight accomplishments, issues, and status against the project plan
  • Will direct client personnel, as needed, in their task assignments
  • Will assist the client, as needed, in managing the overall implementation project
  • Ensures that client executive management is provided a periodic project update with accomplishments, issues, and decisions where their action is needed
  • Trains customers to use the company platform properly
  • Works with the client in developing a business solution incorporating the new software and ensures that the client is prepared to test the new business solution before using it in a production mode
  • Completes, maintains and processes pertinent paperwork and records
  • Work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout North America

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a client-facing implementation consultant (preferred but not required).
  • Experience to include 5+ years with forecasting and supply chain planning processes, ERP systems, and experience with a leading supply chain planning software (company preferred).
  • Strong skill in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Visio.

* Must be available to work at various, unanticipated sites throughout North America

* Travel required (approx. 30%).
