Overview
The Company is a full service, multi-discipled consulting engineering and design company seeking a Structural Engineer to become an integral part of our team!
You will assist the Project Team in performing engineering calculations, generating drawings, and other technical duties. You must be capable of directing and reviewing the work of designers and possess the ability to work with other disciplines.
Responsibilities:
∙ Develop scope of work and quote projects based on the services to be performed ∙ Oversee and monitor projects, time lines, and budgetsto complete tasks on schedule ∙ Plan, develop, coordinate and direct project team on major scope and importance ∙ Estimate personnel needs, and schedules and assign work to meet completion date ∙ Solve unprecedented engineering problems
∙ Determine program objectives and requirements
∙ Manage and maintain all job files and documentation according to PEM ∙ Requires client contact, business development and marketing
∙ Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
∙ Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering degree with minimum of 6 years’ experience in the industrial sector. PE preferred but not required
∙ Previous experience in structural engineering in the industrial sector, with light commercial ∙ Experience carrying out design calculations of structural member sizing (concrete & steel), retaining wall and foundation design, frame and wind/seismic load analysis ∙ Experience evaluating field installations and recommending design modifications to eliminate system malfunctions
∙ Able to perform preliminary analysis and feasibility studies
∙ Particular type of experience with AutoCAD, Revit, & STAAD
∙ Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills
∙ Ability to prioritize and multitask
